Details for How To Upgrade A Tandy TRS-80 Color Computer 3 To 512K Without A Commercial Memory Board Miscellaneous How To Upgrade A Tandy TRS-80 Color Computer 3 To 512K WITHOUT A Memory Board This is an HTML Document that I found on the internet. It describes how to install 512k into a Tandy Radio Shack TRS-80 Colour Computer 3 without having one of the commercial memory upgrade boards. Although it is a tedious process, I have actually used these instructions to upgrade my own personal CoCo 3 from 128k of RAM to the full 512k RAM. There were some third-party upgrades that allowed the CoCo 3 to be expanded to 1MB by extending the DAT by 1 bit. Later boards extended the DAT to a full 8-bits, thereby allowing the CoCo3 to access a massive 2Mb of DRAM. I do not have the 1Mb or 2Mb upgrade instructions, but if I find them, I will post them as well. The HTML document does contain some adverts for a wholesale DVD supplier. I started to remove this from the HTML code, but I decided to leave it as-is, so as NOT to accidentally destroy the formatting of the page - It is arranged nicely in order to provide the easiest instruction for upgrading the color computer and I didn't want to mess that up. Enjoy.
